#JadoreDessange California Blonde

I received the Dessange Paris California Blonde VoxBox to try out and report back.
I was a bit hesitant, as I had never heard of this brand before and because I usually use John Freida products.

The shampoo smelled fresh and clean. Not too many bubbles which I like. I was surprised that it was a pearl color as I was expecting a blue hue like most blonde shampoos.

The conditioner smelled absolutely amazing. It left my hair feeling soft and shiny.

The color correcting creme was a little scary. Dark bluish/purple and it seemed like it was going to stain everything around. It did leave my hair feeling soft, but I didn't really notice much of a difference color-wise.

I would definitely switch from the John Freida line to this one in the long run.

What I didn't like about the line is all of the ingredients that I couldn't even pronounce, but I did like that there were also natural plants and flower extracts as well.

I am in love.

I am happy.

Your favorite candy in spreadable form.

I could have eaten the entire jar in one sitting, but I stopped myself.

With animal crackers, in a recipe, or on a spoon. SO MUCH YUM.

Influenster Love

I love Influenster
MY voice is heard. I try out products and report back my honest opinions. Sometimes I like the products, sometimes I don't. Other times I fall in love with a product and immediately become a consumer of that product.
I answer questions. I ask questions to learn more.
I get coupons to continue buying the items I love.
I make a difference.

Mary Kay Clear Proof Kit

Izzy met the cut for the @influensterVox @MaryKayUS Clear Proof VoxBox. It consisted of The Clear Proof Clarifying Cleansing Gel, The Clear Proof Blemish Control Toner, The Clear Proof Acne Treatment Gel, and The Clear Proof Oil Free Moisturizer for Acne-Prone Skin. Isabelle was to use these products for 30 days and report on the results.
Well, she did it. But she didn't like it. Unfortunately it dried out her skin a lot. And the process was very time consuming. This kit was a great deal, but it just wasn't for us.

187 days

My baby has been earthside for 187 days. Really. I cannot believe she has been here for six months already. She has been such a joy!!

We started real food - oatmeal, which she loved. Then a few days later we tried some avocado, which was eh. Then squash - which she can't get enough of!!

MMMM Oatmeal

Freezer Meals

I have been trying out freezer meals and wanted to just log my favorites to share.

Baked Ziti
This one is my favorite. It is super easy and delicious. Everyone liked it.

Mexican Stuffed Shells
This made 2 full pans and I still had extra filling. Use the extra to wrap up in tortillas or as a dip.

Crock Pot Meals Crock Pot Meals 2
I made all of these at once on a Sunday. I had meals ready to go as needed when the baby was finally born.
They were all relatively easy and delicious. My favorite was thai chicken with peanut sauce.

The key to freezer meals is to block out a pretty big amount of time - you will need it to prep everything.
Make sure you make a shopping list - and keep it organized. Go to the store and buy everything you need, and be sure to check things off as you go, or you'll be sure to forget something.

Once you get home, sort everything out, wash all the veggies, divide the meats, and get crackin.
I was able to bag about 12 freezer meals in approximately 5 hours one Sunday afternoon. I immediately froze all of them (labeled with cooking directions of course), and took them out as needed.

I find that taking the bags out about a day before you actually need them is best, but some of the crock pot ones you can throw right in frozen solid.

Happy cooking!!

Blue Diamond Fruit Flavored Almond

I tried this yummy snack today. Good flavor, good source of protein for a snack. Yummy when you want something sweet and sort of healthy. A bit high on the carbs and sodium in my opinion, but compare it to what you would normally eat instead and I think this would be a better option. I'd like to try the other flavors too!

Here is the official product description:
Blue Diamond Fruit Flavored Almonds: $3.19 for a 4oz. bag. Loaded with antioxidant Vitamin E, our Fruit-Flavored Almonds combine the delicious crunch of almonds with the subtly sweet flavors of strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries.
